If you made it this far, congrats! lol Because I hadn't posted since Halloween, I had a LOT of catching up to do! And....since Lindy had her 3rd birthday, we had Thanksgiving....and of course Christmas, this was bound to be a rather large post!

In a way the last two months have flown by. It started off the first of November as we celebrated Lindy's 3rd birthday. It's hard to believe that our little angel bug is already 3. It seems as though with each birthday I can't help but reflect on her birth and the events that transpired right after. It's hard for me to think back to Lindy's first year of life because of the health problems I had, I feel I was robbed of the "ideal" first baby experience. However, with each day that goes by and I watch my precious baby girl learn and grow, I cannot help but be humbled that I am alive and able to spend this time with her. I am forever grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who heard our prayers and healed me. Right around the time of Lindy's birthday every year I have the dreaded cortisol test to make sure my Cushings is not recurring. Once again, the number looks fine so it looks like things are going well. Yay!

On another note, the day after Lindy's birthday this year I woke up to some exciting news. After 18 months of trying for another baby, I was finally pregnant. However, two weeks later I miscarried. I don't say this to gain sympathy, only to let those know who have been wondering (and haven't dared ask) how things are going on the "baby" front. While this was sad for us (always devastating for me), we looked at it as a positive. We had been tested by the "U" fertility center and everything came out fine for us. I had taken Clomid, and we had done all that we should do and never got pregnant. Another positive was that we got pregnant without any of the fertility drugs etc, AND this time I was able to miscarry on my own without having surgery. So.....we move on, and pray that in the near future, we will get another blessing. Any prayers on our behalf would be welcome, and for that is why I posted it on here.

Thanksgiving was wonderful! It was a little extra special for our family this year. My brother George's wife delivered their 7th baby and she (Amanda - George's wife) was not doing well following the birth. She was suffering from HELLP syndrome, a severe for of preeclamsia. She ended up receiving units of blood, platelets, and was sent on Air-Med to Salt Lake for observation. In the end, she's doing better and their family was able to reunite in time for Thanksgiving.

December brought on Christmas parties of sorts, a trip to Temple Square to see the lights, and sickness!! Lindy started fevering December 18th at my sisters house and from that point on she has fevered and puked off and on until yesterday (Dec. 28th). I took her to the doctor yesterday and they suspected a UTI, but the test was no conclusive. Dean has also been sick with stomach flu stuff for a week now, so.....we're SO ready to be done with sickness. Lucky for me, I have been spared and able to take care of my sweeties! We have loved spending time with our families and making memories. Often times I look around at my nieces and nephews (and my own daughter) and wonder where time has gone. My oldest niece is a senior in high school, my little Bryanna. Wasn't it just yesterday that she was standing on the ottoman on one wobbly leg showing me a cheer? Awwww....how sweet the memories are!

We look forward to 2010 and pray that the Lord continues to bless our family and friends. We pray for opportunities, and lasting memories. May you be blessed as well!

Wow.....two posts within a week or so. Amazing!!!! I thought that with the holidays coming up, if I didn't post our Halloween pictures now then I just may never get to them! Lindy was really looking forward to Halloween this year. Last year she definitely had fun going to a few houses (she wasn't quite 2 last year) but this year she was gung-ho and pretty much wanted to cover the whole city of Clinton. :)

We have a tradition we've been doing for a few years now. We invite Dean's parents and my mom over for dinner and then the Grandma's take turns coming with Lindy and me trick-or-treating while the other stay at home and give out candy. Then it's Dean's turn to come with us to finish off our trick-or-treating. We live in a newer development so there's TONS of young families and the houses are pretty close together. We average giving out about 12 bags of candy each year, that's one piece of candy per kid. Some might think it's ridiculous, but we LOVE it!!! Aside from Christmas, Halloween is my second favorite holiday because it's so neat to see all the kids and families out having fun. It really does make me all warm and fuzzy. :)

So Lindy was a sweet little kitty cat this year. Since she's not much of a "girlie" girl, I figured we'd do something besides the usual Princess attire. So instead, she had a black outfit with hot pink trim. So so cute!! Lindy did an awesome job going up to the door all by herself and saying, "Trick-or-Treat." Just as soon as they'd give her candy, she'd turn around and say, "Where we going to next?" We got a good laugh out of it. She made a haul and loved every minute of it.....so did we. :) Hope you enjoyed the pics!

So sorry about the "Super picture post." It's been nearly two months since I last posted, and we've done some fun things that resulted in picture mania! It's hard to believe that it's almost been two months since I quit my job. The time has flown by and has been rather enjoyable for us all! If it weren't for wanting a little extra $ for food on the table and to play - I'd probably never get a job as long as I had a little kid. However, I will start looking for a part-time job soon - something close to home. I've just really enjoyed being a full-time mommy and wife - what a nice change!

Sadly, September brought the end of our camping season for the year. The trailer is back home and winterized. Dean and I were able to have a little weekend getaway in September to Las Vegas. Lindy stayed with her Grandma's, and Dean & I stayed at the MGM Grand. We saw another Cirque de Soleil show called "Love." It was all choreographed to Beetles music, it was a lot of fun!

October has brought us some grand adventures. Lindy had her first airplane rides to Arizona as we went to stay with Aunt Karyn (Dean's sister) and Jeff. They were such wonderful hosts, we appreciated all of their hospitality! While in Arizona, we were able to spend some time with Dean's Aunts - Kaye and Shirley. We really miss not seeing them, but cherish the time when we do. We also saw Uncle Glen (Dean's brother) for about 40 minutes while we all had dinner together. One of the days in Arizona we went to the Phoenix zoo. It was a balmy 100 degrees, but a good time was had by all! The day after we got back from Arizona, I met my sister and picked up her four kids. We picked up Landon, then met up with Dean & Lindy and we all went to Lagoon's Frightmares. Back when we were potty-training Lindy, we had promised her that when she was potty trained that we would take her to Lagoon. We had such a fun time!!! All of us went on rides and just made the most of the 9 hours we were there!

And lastly, Lindy had her first visit to the dentist. She was excited to go, however, the x-rays took longer than she wanted and she started gagging on the things they put in her mouth to do the x-rays. Needless to say...that kinda ruined the rest of the visit. It was worth it though, the dentist said that everything looks great!

As October comes to an end we wish summer goodbye and welcome Fall with open arms. Lindy is excited for Halloween! We look forward to the coming months and the spirit of the seasons. Dean and I realize how important it is for us to get in shape so that we can be happy active parents. Hopefully down the road we'll be posting weightloss pictures! Wish us luck! :)
