Well it looks like I'm on a roll - updating the blog every 8th of the month. :) We've had some fun weekends the last couple of weeks starting with a camping trip in the Uintas. A few days before our trip Lindy came down with strep so for the most part she was a miserable little girl. We've been so fortunate that Lindy's been so healthy and NEVER gets sick. This time was different, it's the first time that an illness has affected her so much. Needless to say it was a long couple of days but we all survived. Even though Lindy wasn't feeling well she still had a little fun camping and got plenty dirty! Now that we have a bigger trailer we are able to take Dean's mom with us (if Lynn doesn't want to go and take their trailer) so that's a lot of fun.
This last weekend was the 4th (one of my favorite times of the year) and we spent the weekend in Fillmore. Those of you who grew up in a small town can vouch for me on this - there is nothing like a hometown 4th of July. It seems like everyone comes home for the 4th and Christmas so it's a good time to see old classmates and friends that you haven't seen in a long time. All of my family was in town so it was a good time getting together for BBQ's and watching all the little kids playing together. Lindy LOVES to be with her cousins, and we love to watch her play and explore with them all. A big thanks to Cheryl for putting up with all of us and being a great hostess.
I don't think I mentioned that we got a dog at our house now. We got her for free on KSL.com (LOVE the classifieds) for free. She's 9 months old and is a Golden Retriever / Yellow Lab mix. Her name is Addie and she's full of it! Lindy loves to have Addie lick her tootsies and Dean and I are convinced it's like having two kids now the way they get into mischief together. One of Lindy's bedtime routines is that after she gets out of the bath she lays on our bed and eats cheerios and watches Wonder Pets. Well I left her and Addie on the bed the other day while I was doing laundry and when I went back in Lindy was feeding Addie her cheerios, one at a time. haha Gotta love kids and dogs!
All in all life is great! Dean and I are busy with work and keeping up with the kids (Lindy & Addie...haha) and trying to take in the busy summer. We're always up for a good BBQ and spending time with family & friends. We hope to get in more camping trips before the summer is over! Enjoy the pictures!!!
